Built, not yet taking calls Whose job this wasThe front desk during tax season
The problem
A small practice where everyone answering the phone is also the person doing the work. In season the calls are constant and most are a booking, a document question, or somebody checking whether the firm handles their situation at all.
What putting it in involved
The voice agent is configured against the practice’s own material: a bilingual greeting, recording consent announced on every call with ninety-day retention, and an explicit list of things it must never say out loud. Bengali telephony was the constraint that shaped the build, since most speech vendors do not have a real bn-BD voice.
Still to doThe call path is proven end to end and an agent has held a real conversation on it. What is not done is the inbound phone number: the provider side is not wired, and the transfer target is still to be confirmed with the practice. So this is a build in progress, not a customer taking calls today, and it would be easy and wrong to write it up as the latter.
